How I look after your information

Who I am

Follow Your Arrow is run by Jancis Dunn, a sole trader based in the UK. I'm the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. You can contact me about your data at jancis@followyourarrow.co.uk.

What I collect and why

  • Contact form: your name, email address, organisation (if you give it) and your message, so I can reply to your enquiry.
  • Booking a call: when you book through Calendly, Calendly collects your name, email address and any answers you give, so the call can be arranged. Payment for paid calls is processed by Calendly's payment provider; I don't see or store your card details.
  • Working together: if you join a programme, I'll hold the information needed to deliver it, such as contact details, session notes and feedback.

My lawful basis

I use your information because it's necessary to respond to your request or to deliver a service you've asked for (contract), or because I have a legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries. I don't sell your data or use it for anything you wouldn't expect.

Who else handles it

I use a small number of trusted services to run the business: Netlify (website hosting and contact form), Calendly (bookings and payments) and GoDaddy with Microsoft 365 (email). They process data on my behalf and only as needed to provide their service. Some are based outside the UK and use recognised safeguards for international transfers.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted after 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as needed to deliver the work and meet tax and legal obligations, usually six years.

Cookies

This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers when you visit.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how I use it. Contact me at the address above and I'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
